Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare leader, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Emergency Services to lead operations in a high-volume, acute care emergency department. Key Responsibilities
Quality & Clinical Excellence
- Champion evidence-based practices to elevate patient safety and clinical outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Drive operational efficiency through patient flow coordination and throughput strategies
- Develop and implement care coordination policies that foster interdisciplinary collaboration
- Oversee nursing practice and unit operations to meet evolving patient and family needs
Patient Experience
- Lead initiatives to deliver an exceptional patient experience across all touchpoints
- Utilize feedback and performance metrics to identify and implement service improvements
- Collaborate with internal experts to ensure adherence to best practices in customer service
Talent & Culture
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional growth
- Identify training needs and provide coaching to elevate team performance
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent to build a high-performing emergency care team
Strategic Growth
- Partner with physicians and administrators to expand services and drive innovation
- Identify new opportunities for service line development and market differentiation
Financial Stewardship
- Lead departmental budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring
- Optimize labor management and resource utilization to meet financial targets
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising care quality
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent leadership experience in an Acute Care Emergency Department
- Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field strongly preferred
- Proven track record of driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and team engagement
