Radiology Technologist - Full-Time Direct Hire in Geneva, NY | New Grads Welcome

Position Overview

• Employment Type: Full-Time Direct Hire (40 hours/week)
• Schedule: Day Shift or Evening Shift available, Monday - Friday
• Call Rotation: Rotating emergency call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Hourly Rate: $33 - $40 per hour based on experience
• Location: Geneva, NY - Heart of the Finger Lakes Region
• New Graduates: Recent Radiology Technology program graduates encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, portable radiography, and fluoroscopy for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Operate radiographic equipment with precision while ensuring optimal image quality and accurate patient positioning
• Implement and maintain strict radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and yourself
• Utilize Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Computed Radiography (CR), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image capture, data entry, quality review, and troubleshooting
• Safely administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions, responding appropriately when needed
• Maintain infection control standards in accordance with Universal Precautions and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
• Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education initiatives
• Demonstrate flexibility and reliability during on-call rotations

Required Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program (24-month course) OR Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology
• Licensure: Current New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist License (required)
• Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (required)
• Experience: New graduates from accredited radiology programs welcome; experienced technologists encouraged to apply
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with RIS, PACS, CR systems, and digital imaging technologies
• Patient Care: Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to providing compassionate care across all age groups
• Availability: Ability to participate in rotating call schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
