HIRING SALARY: $38,773.00 - $42,464.20 annually; additional salary is commensurate to education and/or experience
HOURS: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday – Friday; hours may vary to include evenings and weekends

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: The International Students Program Specialist is housed within the Office of International Student Services and reports to the Director. The major job functions are as follows:
MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, International Affairs, or related area and three (3) years of related experience. A Master’s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Also, experience with Department of Homeland Security’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is highly desired.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING: Knowledge of Community College policy and procedures. Knowledge of TCC graduation requirements and university transfer requirements. Development and placement of materials and interactive features on the international recruitment website. Knowledge of program assessment. Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations, including the SEVIS tracking system. Knowledge of State of Florida and Federal entities which pertain to international students such as: USCIS, CBP, DHS, ICE. Skilled in strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills including presentation development and social media skills. Ability to demonstrate cultural awareness and a desire to help people of other cultures. Work with a diverse population. Work independently. Follow written and oral instructions. Plan, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Make independent judgments. Design and administer programs. Develop and deliver presentation. Manage a prospective international student database and reports to identify recruitment initiatives. Communicate sensitively and effectively with non-English speakers and individuals with diverse: backgrounds and cultures. Work as member of a team and independently.
