    We are seeking a Automation Engineer to join our team in our Berwick, PA, Memphis, TN or Atlanta, GA locations!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, program, troubleshoot and implement automation solutions, including robotics, conveyors, sorters, scanners, vision systems and PLCs in multiple Manufacturing and Distribution facilities. Ensuring compliance to quality and safety standards
    • Conduct root cause analyses of labor and/or process inefficiencies through operational data analysis, Pareto charts, process reviews, time studies, statistics reviews, simulation and discussions with operational leadership
    • Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product envelope, product flow and transportation methods through understanding equipment specifications for the implementation of automation solutions
    • Determine required maintenance support positions based on equipment functionality and service-level requirements for on-site operations; develop preventive maintenance tasks and schedules to mitigate less than 100% uptime operations
    • Provide technical analyses (cost estimates, feasibility, specifications, interpretation of requirements); develop alternatives and prepare recommendations for capital solutions
    • Proactively identify opportunities for utilization of new and improved technologies such as replacing obsolete or less productive equipment and systems; leverage existing technologies when appropriate
    • Maintain PLC and recipe backup organization and documentation
    • Operate Allen Bradley control systems, Pallet Pro, and Rockwell Asset Center
    • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects in a GMP environment

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
    • 2- 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing and distribution operations
    • Experience with simulation software, 3D modeling/drawing and designing components and system parts
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Mini Tab and Six Sigma analysis tools, Allen Bradley

  • Qualifications
    • BA/BS degree in social sciences, behavioral science, or a related field is required
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience is required
    • Experience in managing a training program is required
    • Familiarity with working in a military environment with the knowledge of rank, protocol, and culture is required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications is required
    • The ability to facilitate EAAA training programs is required
    • Prior experience with EAAA is highly desired
