  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:  Plans and directs the activities of an administrative staff that is responsible for:

    Maintaining effective control of regular and high priority repairs to equipment returned by customers in order to facilitate the timeliness of response and the quality of work completed

    Recommending actions to facilitate the flow of work based on priorities and customer expectations

    Determining the warranty status of returned equipment and prepares work orders to authorize repairs

    Ensuring that all repair data is being transmitted to departments that require it. Manages special projects

    Processing and distributing work orders to repair technicians to initiate the repair of electrical equipment returned by customers

    Maintaining control of inventoried parts and materials held in commercial or military stock rooms. Preparing and maintaining weekly and monthly consumption reports

    Processing stores requisitions and purchase orders for material to support all repair programs. Maintaining inventory levels to meet anticipated demand.Performs a variety of supervisory duties which include:

    • Planning and allocating work to staff members. Ensuring that all work is completed according to standard operating procedures. Maintaining high work quality standards
    • Coordinates the flow of work with internal clients and other departments to prevent unnecessary delays
    • Hiring new employees and training existing staff members to ensure their skills are maintained in order to process work efficiently
    • Performs performance evaluations in formal review, recommending promotions, disciplinary actions and other personnel actions as appropriate
    • Develops improvements to existing operating procedures to improve department efficiency
    • Assisting manager and senior manager in controlling operating budget

    Must be able to read and comprehend test and troubleshooting procedures, short correspondence, and memos in English

    Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

    Performs other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION:

    Associates Degree or equivalent experience

    EXPERIENCE:   

    7 to 9 years of related experience

    Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes US Citizenship.
