    Clearance: Must possess a minimum of an adjudicated DoD Secret DoD clearance in order to be considered for employment.

    Description: The Logistician ensures that equipment, products and systems are received, recorded, packed, distributed, tracked and disposed of according to proper government regulations and procedures. Maintain awareness of best industry practices emerging new technologies, methods, and processes. Advise non-logistics managers of best technologies, methods and processes for the effective and efficient logistical management of property assigned to the various parts of the program. Ensure that government furnished equipment (GFE) and/or materials temporarily under the control of contractors are accounted for at all times. Perform physical inventories of all GFE equipment. Coordinate shipping/receiving of equipment with CONUS and OCONUS managers. Coordinate the shipping and return of broken-down GFE covered under manufacturer warranty or other repair commitment to and from repair / replacement locations. Maintain ability to generate reports on status of equipment to include location repair status, shipping schedule, distribution, disposition, and other logistical-related functions. Investigate best courses of action for the resolution of logistical problems, and advise these both verbally and in writing to program managers when called upon to do so. Provide advice and training where necessary to other program staff on logistical or property management responsibilities.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for daily logistical tasks, in coordination with local military customer.
    • Forecast and validate new and replacement equipment needs and logistical requirements
    • Coordinate with designated logistical support providers (e.g., Tobyhanna Army Depot [TYAD]).
    • Prepare logistical reports, metrics, briefings, emails, and memorandums.
    • Interface with military and civilian support agencies, coordinate for military, commercial, and United States Postal Service (USPS) shipping, and prepare and manage local and deployed property accountability systems.
    • Works with the local military and government customer to return the damaged equipment back to the designated logistical support provider for repair, replacement, or both.

    Qualifications:

    • Current Professional Logistics Certification i.e.,
    • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
    • Six (6) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.
    • Four (4) years of experience in support of C4ISR systems.
    • Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.
    • The candidate must be able to formally present materials in understandable and intelligible formats; in both verbal and written arrangements.
    • The candidate must be fully proficient in the use of PCs and all programs included in the Microsoft Office application suite. Preferred Qualifications
    • Military and/or national intelligence background with a clear understanding of the military structure, mission and responsibilities.
    • Prior experience in Afghanistan, Iraq or similar surroundings a plus
