    Overview of role: Someone with electrical or civil construction work will be required to provide comments on the engineering for the conversion of a parking lot to a bus depot

    Key responsibilities include:

    Overseeing construction activities to ensure adherence to legal regulations and safety standards

    Managing project budgets and schedules

    Write project descriptions, charters, project study reports, and regular monthly reports.

    Calculate construction work quantities (quantity take-off) from plans and specifications, field survey data, or direct field measurements.

    Prepare estimates of the probable cost of construction and maintenance activities using data from estimating tables, previous bids,

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

    A minimum of 7 years of related work experience and knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and tracking projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting work and contractor performance.

    A combination of training, education, and or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

    Technical • Heavy-duty pavement reconstruction (AASHTO-based design oversight) • Utility relocation and capacity upgrades • Medium-voltage electrical coordination • Industrial maintenance facilities construction • Stormwater & environmental compliance (MS4, SWPPP) • Phased construction in active operations
