    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain A Safety Sensitive Position - 25%

    Administer medications accurately aware of side effects or potential drug reactions

    Write incident reports using professional language

    Accompany residents to medical appointments with dignity

    Report all accidents, changes, or concerns seen in residents in a timely and written fashion through proper documentation

    Maintain calm in emergency situations when necessary

    Create a Home Environment - 25%

    Inspire growth in individual residents through knowing them personally

    Take part in balanced nutrition through breakfast preparation, lunch service, snack offerings and adhering to planned dinner menus

    As part of a weekly routine, comprehensive cleaning of residential homes is needed. This requires both teaching residents to contribute and execution of tasks for the caregiver

    Provide incontinent care as required, including incontinent barrier cream, changing clothing and bedding

    Assist residents with good communication with their family members and guardians

    Participate in Holistic Care Planning - 25%

    Assist in development, growth and outcomes of individualized Care Plans for each resident on a multi-disciplinary team and encouraging diligent pursuit of personal goals

    Support resident participation in daily exercise and social activities, leading by example

    Participate in various programs as assigned dependent on skills and needs of the organization

    Organizational Support - 25%

    Uphold personnel policies

    Attend Staff meetings and educational training sessions

    Develop and reinforce honesty, trust and responsibility in relationships with colleagues and residents

    Develop and reinforce professional etiquette and "live by the Golden Rule"

    Other duties as requested by the Caregiver Coordinator, Health and Wellness Team and President

    Required Education & Certifications:

    High School Diploma or GED and,

    Valid Caregiver Certification or willingness (and ability) to receive required certification

    Preferred Education & Certifications:

    Bachelor's Degree

    Required Experience & Skills

    Ability to teach, coach and encourage residents in learning new skills

    Preferred Experience & Skills

    Experience serving those with developmental disabilities (Salary DOE)

    Experience working with those on the Autism Spectrum

    Background Check Requirements

    Qualification for Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance

    Able to pass initial and ongoing random drug testing

    Safe Driving Record

    21 years of age
