Rainbow Acres, a residential Christian community with heart, empowers persons with developmental disabilities to live to their fullest potential with dignity and purpose.
We are seeking a part time IT Specialist to work 15 hours a week assisting residents and staff with their IT needs. This is a safety sensitive position.
Minimum Professional Requirements:
- Experience with multiple operating systems
- Experience with computer hardware
- Experience with network hardware and configuration
- Assembly, cabling and repair skills preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Familiarity with k-12 educational software desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems desirable
- 21 years of age
- Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and qualify for a Level 1 security clearance.
Evidence of strong Christian commitment is desirable. Evidence of strong standards and moral character is essential along with sensitivity to the needs of the residents.
Professional Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot IT issues and resolve errors
- One-on-one training and assistance of staff with IT-related issues
- Under supervision and with direction of Senior Staff, define areas of IT needs and suggest potential solutions
- Preventative maintenance of IT systems
- Configure, install and maintain network equipment
- Integration of telephone systems, Wi-Fi, and multiple networks
- Assist residents with technology hardware and networking
- Excellent customer service skills
- Document IT, network, and telephony infrastructure
- Manage software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain printers as directed
- Other duties as assigned
