As a Business Broker with Raincatcher, you will aid the small business community by educating and advising entrepreneurs as they buy and sell companies. Our firm represents the Sell Side of the transaction and focuses on small to middle-market-sized businesses ranging from $1 million to $30 million + across diverse industries.
We need influential and gregarious business-savvy professionals to guide small business owners ranging in enterprise value up to $5 million nationwide toward the successful achievement of their American Dream, doing so through experienced story selling and helping express the value of how we accomplish those expectations.
The Broker Business role requires capabilities in sales, marketing, and negotiation. You will be jumping from one critical item to the next, and having the flexibility to manage multiple tasks is critical for success. You must have high ethical and professional standards, be a confident, creative problem-solver, and a team player. Although the position requires both sales/marketing and financial skills, the qualities of an honest, effective salesperson are the most critical for success in this industry.
AS A BUSINESS BROKER YOU WILL:
Work directly with Business Owners, Lawyers, CPAs, Bankers, and Buyers
Act as an intermediary in the sale of the business between all parties
Manage inbound seller leads
Actively participate in business development creating brand awareness and referrals
Manage due diligence documentation and process
Operate with utmost confidentiality and integrity
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Located in the Eastern United States
Has business transactional experience- 3 years + and knows how to get a deal to the finish line
Strong phone skills
Proven past success in sales or business development role
Has a Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, MBA preferred
Works well remotely and is self-motivated
Embraces technology in a virtual office environment
Has been, or is currently, a small business owner
Is an entrepreneurial, charismatic team player with a real desire to build a successful career
Possesses a FINRA license and/or willing to complete the SIE, 63 and 82 license.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;
Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to Business Brokerage, Business owners, Corporate managers, Business Development, Financial Advisor, Attorney, Accountant, CFP, General Management, Commercial Real Estate or Development, and Commercial or Small Business Banking.
Broad understanding of Finance, Business, and Business Valuation
Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
Excellent client-facing sales experience
Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
Self-Motivation and organization
Problem-solving ability in unique situations
Patience, persistence, and integrity
Must be able to pass a full background check
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary + commission
Competitive Commission Structure plus bonuses
Full benefits are available after one month
