Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative operations within a busy clinical department. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to help ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for patients. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments in a professional and reassuring manner.
- Record patient information accurately, including vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant details.
- Assist providers during clinical examinations and minor procedures as directed.
- Maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment to support cleanliness, readiness, and safety standards.
- Coordinate patient flow, manage schedules, and help support timely rooming and follow-up processes.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, instructions, and basic questions within scope of role.
- Perform administrative tasks such as updating records, processing documentation, and supporting chart preparation.
- Follow established policies, clinical protocols, and confidentiality requirements at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training preferred.
- Current certification or willingness to obtain certification may be required, depending on department needs.
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and patient care practices.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
