Position Description:

Generalist rotating through all departments:  blood band, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, basic microbiology and urinalysis.   Prepares specimens for microscope examination. Performs manual and automated routine blood tests.

Experience Requirements: AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS A MLT/MT Education Requirements:  

Associates/ or Bachelors  Degree in Biological Science (Microbiology and Molecular Cell Sciences or related field) with one year internship plus successful completion of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist medical technology certification examination and/or possess the necessary requirements to qualify as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act Standards

Any specific licensures/ certifications needed:

AHA Basic Life Support (CPR).

A.S.C.P. as a Medical Technologist or RMT as a Registered Medical Technologist (MT)
