    Ramada Plaza Hotel & Conference Center is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Workers who must have OPEN AVAILABILITY for 1st and 2nd shift. This position does include holidays and weekends.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Assists with preventive maintenance including completion of the Preventive Maintenance checklist and completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.

    Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacement.

    Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.

    Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.

    Assists Maintenance Technician or Chief Engineer in any project as directed.

    Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

Less than high school diploma; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
