Our client - TrustRankis leveraging blockchain to revolutionize how we utilize our personal data through the use of data verification and advanced privacy technologies.  The project serves a broad spectrum of industries in which personal data is relied upon, including financial services, HR and recruiting, medical, and others.

TrustRank adheres to the principles and ethos of decentralization.  Therefore, our goal is to help build and promote a platform that not only serves but is controlled by its participants in a self-sustaining manner.

The company is growing fast, both with customers and investors. TrustRank has raised almost $1M in pre-seed money, with more to come and will soon be releasing an MVP (Minimal Viable Product).  TrustRank is seeking its first Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO will take leadership over the technical aspects of the company's activity. The current team consists of two Co-Founders (CEO and COO),  two sales and customer success people and a small development team. Their team charges hard but does it in a curious manner to solve big challenges with blockchain technology. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: The role will be based in the Salt Lake City, Utah area and this person will act as an anchor to establish an office in the area and attract top technical talent. This person will be a member of the Founding Executive team.

About the Chief Technology Officer position

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with an enterprise background who will take leadership over the technical aspects of our company's activity. Your duties will include communication with current employees, investors, and customers on managing the continued development of our enterprise platform and it's underlying blockchain technology.  

You should possess strategic thinking and proven people leadership ability,  well-versed in current technological trends, and familiar with a variety of business concepts. You will need to be mature and tenacious in your thinking, with experience growing enterprise customers. This role is for someone who would like to step outside their comfort zone and play a bigger part in growing an organization. 

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a driven but well balanced Chief Technology Officer, who can do the following:

• Strong leader of people who can oversee technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Attract and recruit strong technical talent to the company
• Be a self-starter - Find and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
• Support people in their profitable usage of technology and implement processes that work and build the foundation for future scaling
• Operational Excellence Mindset - Monitor system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency, develop quality assurance and data protection processes and oversee KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
• Continuous Improvement - Collect feedback from stakeholders to make necessary improvements and adjustments to the technology
• Effectively communicate our technology strategy with partners and investors

Chief Technology Officer requirements are

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

• 2+ years' experience of working as a CTO or other relevant position in a larger organization
• Significant experience building organizations from Seed Stage to Series A then stayed with an organization to grow and scale the company well beyond Series A
• Significant experience working with Enterprise level customers 
• Experience or a big interest in the Blockchain and/or HR Technology ecosystem 
• Significant experience in budgets and business planning
• Significant experience in conducting technological analyses and researches to build strategy
• Good knowledge of current technological trends
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic approach

EDUCATION

BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering or other related areas. Masters degree in Business or related preferred.
