    We are looking for a Project/Sales Engineer to join ACCO's San Diego office!

    Reporting directly to the Service Project Manager and/or the Service Sales Manager, this position is responsible for the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. This position assists with planning and scheduling of assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and ACCO standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project team members, including external customers and vendors.

    SO WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

    Essential Duties:

    • Survey existing buildings (for retrofits);
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and gather data regarding energy use, building functions, and structural characteristics.
    • Complete preliminary designs, review proposal data, and review costs with Purchasing.
    • Coordinate install procedures with Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders to support work in progress.
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external contacts to achieve mutual objectives.

    Secondary Duties:

    1. When needed, travel to job sites to leverage your design expertise and provide a hands-on capacity to solve emergent problems. Customers may rely on you to show energy performance data.
    2. Manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
    3. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Project Manager or the Service Sales Manager.

    WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A PART OF THIS ALL-STAR TEAM?

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction
    • Management OR equivalent experience with HVAC systems
    • HealthCare/OSHPD experience preferred
    • Organized and great at managing time
    • Excellent oral and written communications
    • High sense of integrity
    • Practical understanding of mechanical systems
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience with HVAC systems
    • Desire to service customers
    • Successful sales experience or proven top performer with the ability to set and exceed goals
    • Strong written, verbal, analytical, teaming, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
