We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer who has experience working with Ruby on Rails and Python for our client's team as a full-time employee in Denver, Colorado.

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working alongside our client's product and design team to unify their brand and consolidate their operational systems. You will use your knowledge and expertise in each stage of software development to present solutions, take them to production, and implement them across the company. You will have a lot of autonomy and influence on the technical direction of the company.

YOU WILL:

• Build performant APIs and back end services
• Reliably deliver secure, efficient, and scalable products in a dynamic environment 
• Contribute to our evolving development and testing standards and best practices
• Collaborate with Design and Product to ensure balanced code complexity and UX

WHO YOU ARE:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to easily work across the organization
• Ability to work in a Scrum/Agile software team
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a collaborative environment
• Ability to deliver features in modern, web-based applications

PREFERRED BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Ruby on Rails and Python
• Experience designing REST & Graphql APIs
• Extensive knowledge of testing best practices at all layers
• Extensive knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented programming
• Experience designing and managing complex relational database structures
• Experience working on an established product with real users
• Experience with Ruby/Javascript/CSS and single page app architecture(s)
• Your philosophy aligns with Agile methodologies and processes
• Confidence pairing with other engineers of all levels
