Accounting Manager - Cash

Lyft is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Accounting Manager, Cash, to its Controllership team. This a crucial role that will drive efficiencies within the cash process. The role provides significant growth opportunity as it encompasses day to day accounting duties as well as focuses on a number of project based initiatives to scale the cash process within the general ledger function. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning and executing the cash month end close process within Oracle Fusion, overseeing a team of accountants, while meeting monthly close calendar milestones

• Develop and implement scalable cash processes to facilitate timely and accurate reporting daily

• Perform/review journal entries, reconciliations, adjustments and maintain appropriate supporting documentation

• Implement best practice solutions to automate cash processes related to multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions with foreign currency impact

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate processes are in place to facilitate timely and accurate cash close

• Assist in reviewing portions of the balance sheet and income statement

• Assist in managing external audit, including preparation and ongoing support

• Assist in documentation/implementation of internal controls

• Collaborate with various teams during system implementations and special initiatives

• Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested

  EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • ·  4 year degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA are required

  • ·  Requires minimum of seven years in Accounting, including Big 4 experience, and larger multinational organizations

· Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines

• ·  Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must

• ·  Accounting research and problem solving skills required

• ·  Highly detail oriented and ability to multitask is a valuable asset

• ·  Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications; Oracle Fusion and NetSuite are strongly preferred

· Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
