JOB DESCRIPTION
The CI Business Partner (CIBP) has the overall responsibility to manage the functional requirements of the business unit for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery/delivery, risk management and relationship management. The CIBP supports definition of project requirements and savings targets and ensures overall direction, coordination, planning, testing, execution, monitoring, control and completion of projects within the IT and enterprise business transformation portfolio. The role will work cross-functionally within the business unit to define and prioritize projects that are consistent with company strategy and organizational requirements.
The CIBP will report to the VP of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement and will liaison closely with the division IT Business Partner (ITBP) to ensure active alignment and collaboration on business and IT driven projects and to ensure that the services, processes and solutions follow the CAES corporate IT strategic direction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business requirements owner to work with business teams to identify process improvement opportunities and functional requirements, develop business cases with benefits and savings targets with accountability methods and to prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance)
• Business Project Leader to assemble and lead business project teams, plan and coordinate project tasks, develop testing scripts, lead testing and validation activities, execute and deliver projects supporting schedule and savings requirements, issues mitigation and escalation
• Facilitate strategic planning with business leaders and collaborate with division IT Business Partner to leverage shared tools & resources which enable projects to support business objectives
• Function as specialist in support of assigned ERP systems, existing systems and implementation of new systems
• Establish champions within each business function to support system ownership and to provide expertise to the level of serving as “consultant” for first-line application questions
• Support training of users and user champions
• Define transfer requirements and collaborate with management and employees on Excellence and execution deployment, continuous improvement ideas, innovative concepts to promote creativity; consistently work with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business, including thorough assessment of intangible variables, identifying and evaluating fundamental issues and providing strategy and direction for major functional areas.
• Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Actively support Excellence Deployment and Lean initiatives by attending training where applicable, participating in Lean activities (5S, Kaizen, problem solving, error proofing, etc.), making suggestions and proactively supporting, implementing and driving sustainable improvements.
• Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM:
• Ten (10) years of proven information technology experience in fast pace manufacturing environment and related business areas
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration
PREFERRED:
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or other related field
• Worked in an environment where continuous improvement methods are utilized to manufacture quality products according to design specifications and customer expectations.
• Worked in a leadership capacity positively influencing employees across functional areas and experience in providing leadership to staff.

• Reasoning skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;
• Math skills: ability to use advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations; ability to apply mathematical operations such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis or variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis; advanced engineering math skills;
• Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft office suite such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook, Visio; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as SAP ECC 6 ERP, Oracle 11i ERP, Oracle Agile PLM;
• Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; strong planning and organizational skills; ability to multi-task within tight time constraints;
