    Job Description

    REMOTE INBOUND CUSTOMER SERVICE-HEALTHCARE

    California, United States (Remote)

    100% REMOTE- Customer service over the phone, inbound calls only for a health insurance company. REGULAR: $17.00/HOUR. SPANISH BILINGUAL $17.50/HOUR. TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY All work would be on central standard time and would require sometimes late evening and weekend hours on occasion. All equipment such as computers, headsets, etc. would be provided and mailed to you from the company. Inbound health insurance customer service: Calls regarding coverage information, claims status, in network providers, and general CSR inquiries. 8-hour shifts that vary in time. No shift time guarantees pre-hire. Candidates need to be open to work up until 9pm Central, but there are shifts available from 8am-9pm Central, but no guarantee to be off by a certain time. Candidates must be able to work a weekend day if scheduled, not all agents end up with a weekend shift.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

    Great typing and computer skills are a must. Candidates will be required at times to be on camera during training exercises and will be asked to use a background to conceal home background. Will not be on camera during calls.

    Respond to member/provider/agent/broker inquiries via telephone regarding health insurance benefits, eligibility, and claims.

    • Analyze problems and provide correct information and solutions.

    • Communicate monthly messages to providers on a specific need's basis.

    • Deal tactfully and empathetically with customers.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physician office staff.

    • Read, comprehend, and verbalize processes and procedures of the organization and of health insurance coverage.

    • Multi-task and pay close attention to detail.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

    • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

    • Prior experience in Customer Service in a Managed Care Organization preferred

    • Knowledge of managed care processes and health insurance coverage preferred

    • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to understand complex situations to effectively handle escalated customer needs

    • Analytical skills and the ability to read and interpret data

    • Problem solving abilities

    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

    • Ability to operate computer programs - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.

    • Successful completion of the Customer Service Assessment

    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Internet speed must be 100mps. Take a speed test.

    NO WIFI: Must be able to physically connect to the router.

    Must have a smartphone for 2 factor authenticators to log into work.

    Employer DOES reimburse $55/month for internet and phone.

    Equipment is provided by employer and will be delivered 1-3 days before assignment. The IT setup pre-start is required to start and will be scheduled 1 week before they start.

    PAID TRAINING:

    Training is 6-8 weeks total between classroom training and nesting. Candidates cannot pre-request time off in training and cannot miss more than 2 days in the training period or they will be canceled. If a candidate has scheduled appointments/vacations during training, they may start after those are done and completed.
