    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Lead functional areas such as the Western Range (WR) Subsystems Engineering Telemetry, Optics and Surveillance engineering team to accomplish the LTRS Integrated Support Contract (LISC) objectives and requirements.
    • Generate work assignments to ensure a sufficient number of qualified personnel are available to meet schedules and responsibilities.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to guide personnel in meeting RGNext standards for technical quality, customer service, or timeliness to ensure all employees are properly trained to execute their responsibilities, provide initial and recurring guidance, instructions, and direction.
    • Oversee execution of LISC engineering processes and procedures.
    • Follow LISC standards and management policies.
    • Provide leadership and guidance in engineering project prioritization and technology road map.
    • Identify and resolve issues and handle escalation and communication to management.
    • Monitor workflow to ensure delivery of products on time in accordance with LISC requirements.
    • Prepare and provide progress and status reports, and briefings, as required or requested, to inform management of anticipated performance problems, issues, and improvement initiatives.
    • Provide recognition to employees through the RGNext Employee Recognition Program.
    • Support Basis of Estimates (BOE) and Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) estimates for new sustainment projects and support proposal efforts on new development projects.
    • Establish, monitor and adjust budgets and resource allocations.
    • Ensure all safety requirements are being followedInterface with the LISC managers to ensure compliance with engineering support needed by these departments.
    • Management of time accountability with approval responsibilities in accordance with RGNext policies.
    • Development of annual performance appraisals for each employee and the development of annual goals.

    Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) field of study required.
    • Master’s Degree in STEM or Engineering Management preferred.
    • A minimum of two years of leadership experience.
    • Twelve or more years of experience in the field of hardware and/or systems engineering, as well as, experience in supporting the LTRS with a focus on system design and integration for telemetry, optics or surveillance systems in support of the DoD Engineering project lifecycle is expected.
    • Possess an understanding of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), Space and Missile System Center (SMC), RGNext policies, procedures, organizational responsibilities for requirements review, operations planning, scheduling, and mission execution.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
    • Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
    • Willingness to travel.
