Ransom Consulting, a leading environmental consulting and engineering firm is seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our growing civil practice team. There is some flexibility for this position to be based in either our Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH office. Some of our recent, exciting projects include permitting and civil engineering design for Nordic Aquafarms' land-based aquaculture facility in Belfast, Maine which will be the first of its kind in the United States. We have also recently designed and permitted the Route 25-Brighton-Deering Roundabout project for the City of Portland, in coordination with City of Portland, the MaineDOT, the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System (PACTS), and the University of Southern Maine (USM). This project resulted in a design that accommodates the needs of freight vehicles while greatly improving the safety and comfort of pedestrians and cyclists.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer who bring 3+years of experience with:

• Design of gravity storm drain systems and municipal water and sewer systems.
• Hydrologic evaluations, stormwater design and permitting
• Site grading, roadway grading and ADA compliance
• Preparation of construction bidding documents including construction drawings and specifications
• AutoCAD, HydroCAD and other civil design related software. Experience with Civil3D is a plus.
