Career CategoryHuman ResourcesJob Description Amgen is seeking a Human Resources Site Leader who will be an important member of our Human Resources (HR) Corporate Functions Team. The Human Resources Site Leader will report to the Executive Director of Compensation who has overall responsibility for corporate functions HR and will work out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading biotechnology companies. The Human Resources Site Leader will serve as a member of the Tampa site leadership team and will own the implementation of the site's value proposition, workforce plan and corporate talent programs. Additionally, the Incumbent will serve as the trusted advisor and coach to the site leadership team in areas of HR strategy, culture, leadership, talent management, rewards, and change management. The HR Site Lead will build Amgen's talent base at the new site and then develop and implement innovative strategies to foster engagement and a strong culture in the midst of dynamic growth. The Corporate Functions HR Team provides workforce strategy, leadership, organizational development, talent and change management consultation to senior leadership teams across Amgen's corporate function organizations. Our role is to partner with leaders to create competitive advantage through workforce strategy. This means ensuring we have the right people, in the right roles and location at the right time. Key Activities for the Human Resources Tampa Site Leader include: Participates as an active member of the site senior leadership team Develops and drives initiatives and programs that meet local needs while remaining aligned with global strategies Oversees execution of HR processes (onboarding, performance evaluation, compensation planning, career development, talent management) as well as provide ongoing coaching and training to people managers at the site Interfaces with corporate HR, linking closely with the Corporate Functions HR team to facilitate two-way communication and collaboration Partners with HR Centers of Expertise to develop and implement changes, working to anticipate, coordinate, and plan programs at the site – ensuring HR initiatives add value to Amgen's business goals Represents Amgen at key local external activities across industry and academic affiliations, focusing on attracting top talent to the site and enhancing our reputation in the Tampa Area Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree and 2 years of Human Resources experience Or Master's degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience Bachelor's degree and 6 years Human Resources experience Associate's degree and 10 years of Human Resources experience High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Human Resources experience Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Human Resources for a large global or multinational organization Strategic HR business partner experience or other client-facing experience Site HR Experience Strong project management skills Demonstrated ability to craft innovative strategies and deliver pragmatic solutions Strong analytical skills and understanding of how to use data to inform decisions Ability to balance a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands Self-directed, passionate about the work, and willing to take informed risks Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
