Rapid Machining Solutions is currently seeking a talented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team at our Wilsonville, OR facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing machining processes and programming CNC mills and mill-turn machines to produce aerospace components with the highest levels of precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Mastercam software to create and optimize CNC programs for milling and mill-turn operations in the aerospace manufacturing environment.
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to develop efficient machining processes and tooling strategies for complex aerospace components.
Perform thorough analysis of engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate programming and machining of parts.
Utilize Vericut simulation software to verify CNC programs, detect potential collisions, and optimize tool paths for maximum efficiency.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.
Provide technical support and documentation to machine operators to ensure proper execution of CNC programs and procedures.
Participate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment and the production of high-quality aerospace components.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in Mastercam software for CNC programming and machining.
Experience with Vericut simulation software for CNC program verification and optimization.
Strong understanding of milling and mill-turn processes, including multi-axis machining techniques.
Knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, and aerospace materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
