    Rate Rabbit Home Loans is currently seeking a Social Media Marketer to support the Marketing Communications team at its San Diego, CA headquarters. The Social Media Marketer will take the company’s existing social media strategy to the next level, working with internal and external teams to develop and execute social campaigns with new and dynamic content. This includes being involved in all aspects of the execution of organic and paid media campaigns, gathering data, tracking KPIs, and benchmarking performance. The Specialist will help advise on social creative as well as interact with audiences on key accounts. This individual will be doing the above for our two Channels; Rate Rabbit Home Loans (Direct to Consumer) & SimpleFee Home Loans (Retail Mortgage Advisors). An ideal candidate is a confident, effective communicator who is comfortable writing and copy-editing social copy for all social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The candidate is also an organized multi-tasker who is passionate about promoting the company’s mortgage online footprint. 

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Captivate New Followers: Create new, visual, and dynamic/video content to build our audience and deploy creative campaigns across social groups to capture new followers.
    • Amplify Our Firms Brand and SimpleFee Mortgage Advisors Brands: Develop posts to promote Rate Rabbit and SimpleFee content in a way that transforms complex concepts into compelling content (e.g., press releases, articles, reports, white papers, etc.). Writing samples will be requested.
    • Retargeting customers through paid campaigns, geography, and videos
    • Engage with Our Industry and Audience: Facilitate daily, real-time dialogue with our social communities through the use of comments, tagging, hashtags, messaging, polls, etc. Identify relevant influencers and monitor relevant news, trends, and current events to highlight or provide insight.
    • Promote and Educate Our C-Suite: Engage with key subject matter experts to strengthen their social media presence and position them as thought leaders.
    • Measure Our Success: Pull and analyze reports on social media success metrics, track KPIs, benchmark competitors’ metrics, identify areas of success and improvement, report quarterly to senior management, and make recommendations based on analysis.
    • Plan and maintain a calendar of overall social media activities, post and distribute content on social media channels.
    • Perform regular account maintenance within each social media channel, update pages as needed.
    • Thoroughly proofread internal and external communications for clarity, grammar, spelling and ensure consistency with messaging and brand standards.
    • Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders

     THE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, etc. is preferred) or equivalent working experience.
    • At least two years of experience with communications and social media management.
    • Familiarity with the mortgage industry is preferred

    WHAT SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

    • Campaign management and analytic experience across platforms including Facebook/Instagram Ads Manager, Google AdWords, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and more
    • Project management, time management, and analytical skills with an ability to build plans and help execute
    • Excellent and proactive communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly articulate an issue, technical approaches, and expected impacts.
    • Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate social media activities and objectives.
    • Analyze data to understand budgeting, audience planning, segmentation, and behaviors
    • Creativity with design, content creation, and reporting of the same
    • Confident, detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
    • An ability to adapt and learn new platforms
    • Strong writing and copy-editing skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite (Acrobat).
    • Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
    • Ability to show ownership of your work, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
    • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
