Rate Rabbit Home Loans is a dynamic and rapidly growing mortgage bank located in San Diego. The company has introduced a new, Internet-based method to obtain home loans. Rate Rabbit is committed to providing its customers throughout the United States with the best mortgage rates and the lowest closing fee in the industry. We are in the process of expanding our customer base with becoming licensed throughout the United States.

Underwriter/Underwriting Assistant duties to include, but not limited to:

Assist the Underwriting Department with running loans through Automated Underwriting Systems

Preparing and issuing loan approvals under supervision of Underwriting Manager

Examine and Analyze loan conditions as they come in

Work with loan processors to obtain and clear loan conditions

Assist Underwriters with any other duties as needed

Compensation to be based on experience

Position Requirements

• Must have Mortgage experience
• At least 1+ years Underwriting or Processing experience
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA process and standard guidelines
• Knowledge with LOS systems, preferably Calyx Point
• Must have understanding of TRID
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Detail oriented and ability to multi task
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with high demand
