We are seeking a skilled and motivated Buyer to join our team in the Mechanical or Industrial Engineering industry. As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient procurement and management of materials and equipment needed for our projects. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to source and negotiate pricing for the best quality products. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation skills, a strong understanding of mechanical or industrial engineering principles, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Source and procure materials, components, and equipment needed for projects

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and maintain a current supplier database

Collaborate with engineering teams to review specifications and identify appropriate materials or equipment for projects

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers

Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise

Ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment to meet project timelines

Manage and maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field

Proven experience as a Buyer in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry

Solid knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of materials and equipment used in the industry

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze specifications

Proficient in using procurement software or systems

Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision
