We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in the Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the purchasing process, ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and finance, to understand their specific needs and requirements. You will be responsible for negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and implementing strategies to optimize costs and improve supplier performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, analyzing market trends, and identifying potential risks to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.
The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record in purchasing management within the electrical/electronic manufacturing industry. They should have a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies
Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure best value for the company
Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and requirements
Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or conflicts
Requirements
5+ years Purchasing for Manufacturing in a Manager or supervisory capacity
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in purchasing management within the electrical/electronic manufacturing industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Proficient in using purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
