    Who we are looking for

    We are searching for a high level and capable Manufacturing Engineer with significant hands on experience and practical manufacturing knowledge to join our growing team. This position will include the development of part definition, manufacturing processes, and tooling designs for products that serve a wide range of end use applications.

    What you will get to do

    • Review and interpret customer data (drawings, models, tooling, specifications, etc.) and develop accurate manufacturing models and drawings for release into production.
    • Conduct review of planned production routing and provide guidance to production planning based on interpretation of customer requirements and/or specifications prior to release.
    • Handle and resolve technical issues with assigned projects directly with customer or through CDI customer representatives as appropriate.
    • Design, development, and physical prototyping of any required tooling, fixtures, or inspection gauges vital to manufacture the parts.
    • Provide technical support for customer inquiries, CDI quoting and manufacturing processes, investigations of quality issues, and other requests as needed.
    • Process engineering jobs per customer and schedule requirements.
    • Support Technicians to resolve operational issues such as: scrap reduction/prevention, improve serial production parts/rates, etc.
    • Manage and resolve technical issues directly with customers or CDI customer representative.
    • Support process improvement / cost reduction projects as assigned.
    • Provide engineering / production review in support of AQP process for AS9100 jobs

    What you bring to the team

    • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering orequivalentsubject area. An Associates Degree in an applicable field with significant applicable job experience would also be considered.
    • 5+ years of applicable engineering experience
    • Sheet metal experience
    • Solidmodeling and drawing experience –SolidWorks strongly preferred
    • Workingknowledgeand application of GD &T
    • Fluent with Microsoft Office products
    • Aerospace industry experience a plus
    • High ethical standard of integrity, trust, honesty, and respect
    • Ability to interact and develop working relationships with shop personnel and customers alike
    • Must be able to read, understand, & apply technical specifications.
    • Excellent time management skills
