    Who we are looking for

    Re:Build-CDI is looking for lean engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a change agent, challenging organizational leaders to see opportunities, drive continuous improvements, and remove barriers to progress. The lean engineer will play an important role in fostering a culture of sustainable change through the implementation of lean and six sigma methodology, and the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation.

    What you will get to do

    • Facilitate problem solving and improvement-based events focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and eliminating waste.
    • Employ lean methodology including, but not limited to, 5S, Visual Management, A3 thinking, standard work, and waste identification.
    • Prepare and Lead all Kaizen events, including data collection and analysis, documentation, and coordinating follow-up actions to ensure work is completed and improvements are sustained
    • Generate process layouts and value stream maps to facilitate better practices and optimal flow in the work area.
    • Perform cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the financial feasibility of potential process improvements.
    • Collect and analyze operating data, including yield, cycle time vs. takt rate, and throughput to identify and action opportunities, utilizing the appropriate tools to achieve desired outcome (e.g., Six Sigma, Measurement System Analysis, FMEA, Gage R & R.)
    • Lead process capability improvements through variation reduction, error-proofing, and implementation of statistical process controls; includes gathering and analyzing data to identify and prioritize opportunities such as pareto and process capability
    • Facilitate Value Stream mapping and Value Stream transformation.

    What you bring to the team

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field.
    • 5 + years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • 3+ years of lean/six sigma experience required including Kaizen events.
    • Lean six sigma green or black belt preferred.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Microsoft Office proficient: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of budgeting, cost controls, quality control standards.
    • Statistical analysis skills (Minitab or other statistical software).
    • CAD skills (any platform).
