    Shipping Carpenter position open at RealCraft

    Do you love working with wood and would like the opportunity to increase your carpentry skills? Well then, we’d like to meet you. We have an entry-level position available for a person with interest and basic skills in woodworking to build the shipping crates for our doors. Ultimately, you’ll help us send out the beautiful, high-quality doors that we proudly offer to architects and designers across the country.

    This full-time position is at our campus in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington.

    RealCraft is a local, family-owned door and hardware manufacturer that's leading a return to craftsmanship, making all our doors on-site by hand. We help homeowners escape from the conformity of mass production and find the unique doors that meet their needs. You'll join a values-driven production team dedicated to building the home products that customers can be proud of.

    What We Offer:

    Hourly pay of $21 per hour.

    Consistent hours: Monday through Friday.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Build wood crates for door shipment.

    Check for accuracy of each shipment.

    Inspect shipped products for quality control.

    Coordinate with sales and shop personnel.

    Assist, as needed, with the application of wood finishing products on completed doors.

    Requirements:

    Familiarity with standard hand tools and wood-shop tools such as nail guns, table saw, staple guns, chop saw, etc.

    Accuracy and attention to detail.

    Able to work as a member of your team.

    Reliable and timely attendance.

    Able to show initiative and problem solve.

    Ability to take direction from supervisors and coworkers.

    Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, as well as bend and kneel frequently.

    Manual dexterity with hand tools.

    Plus, but Not Required:

    Prior knowledge of door construction.
