Real Estate Equities Development, LLC, an Eagan, Minnesota based company, is a full service development company with roots dating back to the early 70s. We specialize in the development and management of independent living senior cooperatives. Over the past decade we have developed over 40 projects comprising 2,000 units with a value of $350,000,000 in urban, suburban, and medium-sized mid-western communities. Our services include site acquisition and entitlement, project and construction management, financial analysis and capital structuring, in-house sales and marketing, and property and asset management.
We're looking for a TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST to support our business units and collaborate with Human Resources and hiring managers to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract, screen, and select high-quality candidates to achieve our staffing objectives. This is a position with some degree of flexibility. We're looking for an individual who would like to work approximately 35 hours per week. The selected individual must work within commuting distance to the Eagan office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with applicable stakeholders to identify their business strategies and talent needs, set realistic expectations, establish timeframes, discuss sourcing plans, and to review talent availability.
- Conducts phone screens and interviews and evaluates applicants against job description criteria and business needs.
- Assesses and compares candidates to recommend the best candidate(s) for the position to the hiring manager.
- Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
- Manages the recruiting, pre-employment, and onboarding processes which includes extending offers, generating offer paperwork, checking references, conducting background checks, assisting with new hire paperwork and conducting new hire orientation.
- Communicates weekly to present the status of all open positions and candidates.
- Communicates with managers regularly to establish rapport and provide recruiting updates.
- Maintains constant interaction with selected candidate from offer to date of hire to ensure successful transition to the position.
- Improves organizational attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Recommends new procedures and conducts relevant training in collaboration with the HR department
- Facilitates a fully compliant recruitment process by leveraging the applicant tracking system and using standardized tools.
- Implements new talent acquisition processes and technology and successfully navigates change initiatives.
- Ensures hiring activities implemented are in compliance with the organization’s hiring policies and practices and state and federal regulations.
- Sources active and passive candidates and develops networks to ensure a constant flow of qualified candidates using various tools such as social media, career fairs, agencies, employment agencies, recruiting contractors, and attending job fairs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) systems preferred
- Experience working with ADP preferred
- Experience conducting in-person and online interviews and presentations
- Must have a collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team environment, but must also be self-motivated to produce results with minimal direction
- Must have the ability to form working relationships with individuals on/off site and from varied backgrounds, experience, and education levels
- Must have an understanding of diversity and compliance practices and applicable Federal and State laws including EEO, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
- Experience sourcing using multiple strategies to create candidate pipelines in a timely and cost-effective manner resulting in successful hires
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and organization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships at all levels
- Must be professional, organized, and possess a sense of urgency
