Responsibilities: • Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options • Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Draft and file wills, trusts, and powers of attorney • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action Estate Planning: • Consult with clients to understand their personal and financial objectives for estate planning. • Prepare tailored estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. • Advise clients regarding beneficiary designations, probate avoidance strategies, and asset protection planning. • Assist clients with estate administration, probate filings, and trust administration matters as needed. • Maintain sensitive and clear communication with clients, guiding them compassionately through complex planning decisions. Real Estate: • Advise and represent clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions. • Ensure compliance with real estate regulations, zoning requirements, and local laws. • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, deeds, leases, easements, and closing documents. • Conduct comprehensive title reviews, resolve title issues, and coordinate real estate closings. • Communicate effectively with realtors, title companies, financial institutions, and clients throughout transactions. Qualifications: • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation Compensation: $80,000 base salary
