    Hotel is seeking a Human Resources Assistant. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, enthusiastic and outgoing individual. This position will report to the HR Manager and support in all activities and processes needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist team members both by telephone and in person with information, forms, and answering questions. Requires the use of telephone equipment, ID camera, copy machine, and computer. • Provide administrative assistance such as filing paperwork, tracking disciplinary action notices, and maintaining department and personnel files. • Conduct on boarding for new hires. • Creates and distributes memos, flyers, name badges and newsletters, as assigned. Maintains the electronic bulletin board and weekly newsletter. • Responsible for complying with the Record Retention policy related to all Human Resources/Payroll documents. • Assist with all Leave of Absence inquiries and processes • Update various reports on a monthly basis, including but not limited to workplace accident summaries, birthdays and service anniversaries and HR scorecard.• Assists with Team Member Recognition Programs, digital communication boards and team activities; holiday parties, birthday of the month, recognition programs and distribution of monthly birthday cards • Maintain property departmental organizational charts • Prepare correspondence and memos when necessary (Employment verification/references, regret letters, employment correspondence) Requirements:• Minimum of three years previous administrative experience preferably within the hospitality field or high end customer service discipline • Takes initiative, proactive and is organized and detail oriented• Excellent communication skills both written/verbal in the English language • Must possess ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments • Strong computer proficiency to include: Microsoft Word and Excel • Requires high levels of interaction with all Team Members • Able to present themselves with an uplifting personality • Must be willing to work a very flexible schedule when needed • Bi-lingual; Spanish speaking is required• General knowledge of employment laws and practices • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
