Our busy company is looking to hire an experienced construction bookkeeper to assist us in managing all financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payables, general ledger journal entries, and payroll. Responsibilities: • Use extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software • Be responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger, and journal entries, and prepare balance sheets and financial reports for review • Pay invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on-time, and resolve any invoicing issues • Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports, and financial statements • Assure costs, timeline, and budget of construction projects are accurately forecasted, by providing detailed financial reporting to the general contractor or project manager • Reconciling real estate commissions like a pro Qualifications: • Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks • Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important • Understanding of construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices • Associate’s degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred - high school diploma is required • 5 years of experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the construction industry • 1 to 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience • High level of professionalism • Willing and able to embrace new technology, master it, and teach it to others • Strong computer/tech skills • Exceptional customer service skills • Self-starter who is willing to take charge with little supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Detailed oriented • Positive, can-do attitude Compensation: $21 - $25 hourly
