  • Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Maintenance Technician for Real Property Management Solutions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting all of the business's maintenance activities. This position requires a full range of knowledge (including but not limited to) general handyman skills, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, painting, landscaping, and HVAC. The Maintenance Technician will perform tasks assigned by the Client and Resident Relations Director at the properties managed, and as authorized by, the company. This position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of the Real Property Management Solutions organization.

    Responsibilities

    Application and knowledge of general maintenance work and repairs

    Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services

    Perform work in a timely manner

    Schedule, communicate, and perform property review inspections

    Manage all incoming work orders

    Maintain the established customer service standards for both owners and tenants

    Ensure that all budgets for the department are met

    Protect and promote the company culture and morale

    Promptly respond, pursue, and resolve customer and vendor issues

    Provide accurate records or work performed including, but not limited to billable hours and materials for proper invoicing

    Tenant communication

    When applicable, provide estimated cost and completion date

    Provide supervisor with weekly updates on the status of all open work orders

    The Maintenance Technician is organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the maintenance personnel are a natural communicator with good attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a professional demeanor.

    Requirements

    Consistent and regular attendance to ensure support for the company and all managed properties

    Ability to lift at least 25 pounds on a regular basis

    Minimum of two (2) years' experience in maintenance management or suitable experience in residential home repairs

    Own tools necessary for basic maintenance functions

    Provide cell phone, maintenance vehicle for successful completion of duties

    Maintain vehicle insurance with adequate coverage

    Maintain a valid driver license and ability to be mobile between work sites

    Ability to prepare, write, and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations

    Ability to schedule and estimate works hours and requirements to complete tasks for outside vendors

    General maintenance and repair knowledge
