SUMMARY
The Internship with Investor Reporting is a role within the Finance department. This role should be assisting with the following functions being completed:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform reporting using system cutoff activity and compare to cash and collections reports to ensure accuracy.
- Create and send daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to Investors and Management for total dollars collected and loan level reporting details.
- Ability to use SQL and Excel to complete reporting in accordance with various remittance methods, investor contracts and compliance requirements; take appropriate steps to clear variances.
- Escalate to management any deficiencies, problems, or concerns that might be a potential risk.
- Process temporary payment plans and deferments for mortgage.
- Complete audit requests for investor and state licensing agencies.
- Assist with special projects within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Must be enrolled in 12+ hours of undergraduate coursework or enrolled in 9+ hours of graduate program with a 3.0 GPA or higher required.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting.
- Some experience in finance and/or accounting; financial services experience preferred.
- Proficient to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Communicate effectively and concisely with all levels of personnel both verbally and in writing.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
- Self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
