POSITION: Bankruptcy Support Analyst

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO:  Manager

COMPENSATION: Hourly; Competitive pay

BENEFITS: Medical, Dental & Short-term benefits paid for employees

HOURS: 8AM- 6PM, some evenings & weekends

TRAVEL: No travel

SUMMARY

The Bankruptcy Support Analyst is responsible for maximizing recoveries of consumer accounts included in active or discharged bankruptcies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Research and document bankruptcy case information in order to identify and pursue appropriation actions such as filing proofs of claim or facilitating objection to adverse treatment through referral to outside counsel
• Quality Control
• Process and document correspondence
• Update account information into company’s servicing system
• Monitor assigned queue and follow up accordingly
• Facilitate communication with debtor attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, or other parties via regular inbound of outbound calling
• Perform other  duties an projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3.0 GPA required or Commensurate Experience
• Previous Mortgage or Bankruptcy experience highly preferred
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and credit check to client required standards
• Ability to interface with debtors, debt attorneys, court personnel or other parties in a professional manner over the phone in order to drive resolutions
• Review, comprehend and document bankruptcy court documents including bankruptcy schedules, bankruptcy plans and proofs of claims
• Follow procedural guidelines and take action based on analysis of bankruptcy case
• Effectively communicate findings, issues and irregularities to management
