    We are a leading firm in the Aircraft Hangar Door industry serving all of Florida, branching out into Hangar Door Services. We are looking to hire a Service Technician to service and repair aircraft hangar doors throughout Florida. Job Description:POWERTEK Hangar Door Services is looking to hire a service technician to service and repair all types of Hangar Doors including Bi-Fold, Slider and Hydraulic Doors. We are looking for applicants with excellent communication and strong customer service skills. If you are mechanically inclined, enjoy meeting and working with customers, POWERTEK could be an excellent career path. As a POWERTEK Hangar Door Service Technician, you will be operating out of a our Ft Pierce Headquarters and dispatched throughout the state as necessary. In between service calls you will assist our Field installation team to install new Hydraulic Doors built in our 30,000 square foot Ft Pierce facility. Responsibilities:

    Service and repair Bi-Fold, Sliding and Hydraulic Aircraft hangar doors

    Hydraulic and mechanical systems maintenance and repair

    Weld and repair doors as necessary

    Replace cables, chains, sprocket and cylinders as necessary

    tighten and lubricate all bolts, pins, hinges, etc.

    Operating general construction equipment: Forklift, Scissor lift, job site generator, engine driven welders

    US Citizen or Authorized to work in the United States

    Valid Driver’s License required

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED

    General knowledge of mechanical systems

    Basic Electrical knowledge

    Experienced Mechanic in any of the following:

    Overhead door installation and repair

    Hangar door Installation and repair

    Welding

    Hydraulics

    Good Communication Skills

    Positive attitude

    Self-motivated

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

    Read, speak, and comprehend English

    Clean driving record

    Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

    TRAVEL:

    Travel frequently to service Hangar doors.

    Must be available for occasional overnight trips (from 1 to 4 nights)

    Will work outdoors, in open unshaded areas. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate.
