    RSI. is looking for enthusiastic, sharp and committed individuals to join our team as a Remote Epic Physician Billing Insurance Follow Up Representative.

    As an Epic PB Insurance Follow-Up Representative, you will be a crucial member of our healthcare revenue cycle team, specializing in professional billing. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and resolve insurance-related issues, including denials, rejections, and underpayments. Utilizing your expertise in the Epic PB module, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize reimbursement and ensure a streamlined revenue cycle.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Insurance Follow-Up:

    Investigate and resolve insurance claim denials, rejections, and underpayments promptly.

    Utilize the Epic PB module to track and manage outstanding insurance claims.

    Epic System Expertise:

    Demonstrate proficiency in using the Epic PB module for insurance follow-up activities.

    Collaborate with IT and Epic analysts to stay updated on system functionalities and enhancements.

    Claims Resolution:

    Work closely with payers to identify and address issues causing claim denials or delays in payment.

    Implement strategies to maximize reimbursement and minimize outstanding accounts receivable.

    Communication:

    Communicate effectively with insurance companies to clarify billing issues, appeal denials, and negotiate favorable terms.

    Collaborate with internal departments, including billing and coding, to resolve complex billing matters.

    Documentation:

    Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all insurance follow-up activities.

    Ensure compliance with documentation standards and procedures.

    Performance Metrics:

    Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to insurance follow-up activities.

    Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and targets.

    Training and Collaboration:

    Participate in ongoing training to stay current on insurance industry changes and best practices.

    Collaborate with colleagues to share insights, best practices, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.

    Proven experience in insurance follow-up within a healthcare setting.

    Proficiency in using the Epic PB module for insurance-related activities.

    Strong understanding of insurance reimbursement processes and payer requirements.

    Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in claims resolution and follow-up activities.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    This is a remote position.
