Remote Medical Insurance Follow Up Supervisor
Job Summary:
THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING A TEAM OF INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVES.
THE INSURANCE SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING PRODUCTION STANDARDS AS WELL AS ENSURING DAILY, WEEKLY, AND MONTHLY PERFORMANCE GOALS. THIS IS A FEE PRODUCING POSITION WHEREBY COMMISSIONS IS BASED UPON PERFORMANCE OF ASSIGNED AGENT GOALS, GROUP GOALS, DEPARTMENTAL, AND COMPANY GOALS.
Essential Job Functions: • Responsible for administrative functions of the Insurance department • Produces and reviews standard reports to verify efficiency within assigned area • Coaches, trains, and develops staff • Maintains incentive and contest ideas that result in performance advancement • Motivates the collection staff, in order to help them succeed in hitting their daily goals • Assists in hiring and training new staff • Adheres to all company and departmental policy and procedures • Performs monthly quality reviews of assigned staff to ensure compliance with departmental policies and workflow standards • Reviews reports to identify opportunities to reduce errors and obtain reimbursement • Communicates department status and outlines workflow and process improvement opportunities to billing manager • Manages inventory • Responsible for responding to client emails and required client reporting • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities: • Demonstrates the ability to coach, motivate, and provide performance feedback to staff in accordance with department heads expectations • Exceptional communication and leadership skills • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent • At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare insurance collections; supervisory capacity preferred
Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
