    Position Summary:

    The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and properly documenting incoming materials, parts, and supplies in compliance with aerospace industry standards. This includes verifying shipments, logging inventory into the ERP system, ensuring traceability of materials, and supporting quality control by checking for required certifications and documentation. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of the supply chain in a regulated aerospace environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Receiving Operations

    • Receive and unload deliveries of raw materials, components, tools, and outside processing returns.
    • Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and material certifications.
    • Perform visual inspections for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.

    Documentation & Compliance

    • Ensure that all materials meet AS9100, DFARS, ITAR, and customer-specific requirements.
    • Review and file material certifications, chemical certifications, and C of Cs (Certificates of Conformance).
    • Maintain traceability and lot control for aerospace materials.

    Inventory Management

    • Accurately enter received items into the ERP/MRP system.
    • Label and stage incoming items appropriately for stock or production use.
    • Assist in inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of receiving records.

    Cross-Department Coordination

    • Work closely with purchasing, quality, and production to resolve receiving or material issues.
    • Notify relevant departments of urgent or expedited material arrivals.

    Warehouse Organization

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and staging area.
    • Follow all safety protocols for material handling, including the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and PPE.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 1–3 years of receiving, warehousing, or material handling experience (aerospace or manufacturing preferred).
    • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, certifications, and basic engineering documentation.
    • Basic computer skills and experience using ERP systems (e.g., CSI, JobBOSS, Epicor, SAP).
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in an AS9100- or ISO 9001-certified environment.
    • Familiarity with aerospace raw materials (e.g., aluminum, titanium, Inconel).
    • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
    • Knowledge of material traceability and receiving inspection protocols.

    Salary info:

    $18 - $22 / hr
