We are are a buy/sell/trade recycled clothing store with a gift department that features new cards, candles, journals, housewares, jewelry, etc. The Receiving & Merchandising assistant will help unpack, count inventory, tag, and distribute new merchandise in the gift department. They work primarily in the stockroom with some duties in the showroom.
This role requires flexibility, creativity, organization, teamwork, communication skills and strong attention to detail. Time management and coordination across departments are key to success. Experience in visual merchandising is preferred. Must be available to work 1-2 days, during the week (Tues & Fri preferred).
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Opening, receiving, and counting inventory of packages
Tagging merchandise
Growth potential in store displays and merchandising
Organizing and maintaining stockroom order
Counting and updating current gift inventory
Posting updates on Slack
Maintaining checklists
Communicating with the Vendor Buying Manager
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
5-15 hours per week (flexible scheduling required).
Availability: Must be able to work 1-2 five hour shifts during the week.
This position will be primarily based in our Claremont location (224 Yale Ave. Claremont CA, 91711), but applicant must have reliable transportation. Potential to travel to other DeeLux locations as needed: (DeeLux Orange - 132 S Glassell St. Orange, CA 92866 // DeeLux Los Angeles - 5906 N Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90042)
