Position Summary: We are seeking a part time Receiving Steward to assist our busy Receiving Department at Littleton’s Market. The receiving steward will work with the rest of the team to ensure deliveries across the store are received and checked. The Receiving Department also works with the Facilities Manager to ensure cleanliness throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving trucks and moving product onto U-boats and carts

Checking products against invoices for accuracy and working alongside drivers and vendors

Cleaning and maintaining restrooms and BOH spaces throughout shift

Performing minor maintenance or cleaning tasks as assigned

Taking inventory of and organize supply, chemical and packaging shelves

Working indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions

Qualifications

Works well in/enjoys fast paced work environment

Ability to be on your feet, regularly lift up to 50lbs, standing, twisting etc. throughout shift

Self-motivated- able to find tasks to do during slow times, see what needs to be done

Strong attention to detail

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Can work both independently and very closely with a small team

Available to work 6 am to 3 pm, Mondays through Saturdays

Receiving experience is preferred but not required

Grocery or retail experience preferred but not required

Inventory management experience a plus

Strong organizational skills
