Receptionist - Director Of First Impressions
This is not a normal receptionist job. And we are not a normal law firm. We are a family law firm in Dallas that helps people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. That means the person at our front desk matters a lot. You are the first voice people hear, the first face they see, and the first sense they get of who we are. We are looking for a kind, bubbly, outgoing, genuinely happy person who loves helping people and takes pride in making others feel cared for. That means: • Greeting clients (and future clients) with warmth, kindness, and confidence • Answering and routing a high volume of phone calls • Scheduling consultations, court dates, and meetings • Performing brief intakes for potential clients • Helping clients troubleshoot basic tech issues and answering general questions • Keeping clients informed and calm • Email management and basic data entry • Supporting the attorneys and staff as needed • Making people feel heard, respected, and cared for • Making us laugh (this is not optional) You will know clients’ names. You will genuinely care when they call. You will understand that how you say something matters just as much as what you say. Qualifications: Who This Job Is For This job is for someone who: • Is naturally kind, friendly, and upbeat • Is comfortable talking to people all day (and enjoys it) • Has strong empathy and emotional intelligence • Can be professional and fun • Is organized, reliable, and follows through • Knows when to talk and when to listen • Is light on drama and heavy on accountability • Takes pride in doing things the right way • Lives within a reasonable commute of our office (Dallas traffic is real) Experience & Skills • Prior customer service, receptionist, or client-facing experience preferred • Comfortable with technology (we are a Mac-based office and love good systems) • Professional appearance and demeanor • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to juggle tasks without dropping the ball Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
