Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is more than a haircut—we provide a fun, memorable experience for every child and family who visits us. Our Receptionists are the first and last impression our guests have and are essential to our success.

Position Summary

The Receptionist is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while managing the daily flow of appointments, supporting salon operations, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every family.

Primary Responsibilities

Greet every guest with a warm and enthusiastic welcome.

Answer incoming phone calls professionally.

Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently.

Check guests in and out using the salon management system.

Process payments accurately.

Promote memberships, retail products, and salon services.

Encourage clients to pre-book their next appointment.

Request Google and Yelp reviews from satisfied guests.

Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

Assist with birthday party inquiries and bookings.

Help keep the salon clean and organized throughout the day.

Support stylists and salon managers as needed.

Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications

Outstanding customer service skills.

Friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor.

Excellent phone etiquette.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Computer and scheduling software experience preferred.

Cash handling experience preferred.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
