Job Summary

Sunset Cliffs Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, professional, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our team.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with both people and animals, provides exceptional customer service, and is able to stay organized and positive in a busy veterinary hospital environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

✨ Has veterinary reception or animal hospital experience preferred ✨ Provides excellent customer service and communicates confidently and professionally ✨ Is comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in and out ✨ Can multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment ✨ Is dependable, positive, and works well as part of a team ✨ Truly enjoys helping people and their pets ❤️

Responsibilities

Warmly greet clients and patients upon arrival

Check clients and patients in and out efficiently

Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients professionally

Schedule and confirm veterinary appointments

Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, hospital procedures, and general questions

Coordinate with doctors, veterinary assistants, and technicians to support smooth patient flow

Process payments and maintain accurate client information

Respond to client messages and follow up when needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and reception area

Provide compassionate and professional service, including during stressful or emotional situations

Assist with additional front-desk and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

Previous veterinary hospital or animal-care experience is strongly preferred

Previous receptionist or front-desk experience preferred

Two or more years of customer service experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer-service skills and professional demeanor

Comfortable working with computers, phones, and scheduling software

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

Must enjoy working with animals and providing excellent service to their owners
