    Job Summary

    Yeargain Foot & Ankle is seeking a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are a busy podiatry practice with two Dallas locations at Baylor University Medical Center and Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

    Our front desk team plays an important role in creating an excellent experience for our patients. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be one of the first people our patients interact with, whether they are calling the office or arriving for an appointment. We are looking for someone who is welcoming and professional while also being organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office.

    The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities throughout the day. Previous medical office experience is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Responsibilities

    Greet patients warmly and provide a professional and welcoming check-in and check-out experience

    Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and general office needs

    Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments

    Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information

    Assist with insurance eligibility and verification

    Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments

    Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)

    Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, billing staff, and other members of the practice

    Help coordinate patient needs and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office

    Maintain an organized, clean, and professional front desk and reception area

    Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements

    Assist with administrative duties and other front-office responsibilities as needed

    Work collaboratively with the entire team to provide an excellent patient experience

    Qualifications

    Previous experience in a medical office or medical receptionist position is preferred

    1–2 years of customer service experience preferred

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Friendly, professional, and patient-focused demeanor

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical office

    Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and scheduling software

    Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

    Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus

    Experience with insurance verification and collecting patient payments is a plus

    Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge plus and strongly preferred

    Work Location

    This position supports our two Dallas locations at Baylor University Medical Center and Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Candidates should be comfortable working at either location based on the practice schedule.
