Job Description

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a fun and professional part-time staff member to help administer our dance studio Evolve Dance Company . This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations.

• Typical shifts: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Thursday

• Schedule begins at 2 days per week , with the potential to increase to 3–4 days per week next season

• Our season runs through the end of May

• While we hope to offer summer classes in the future, there is a possibility that hours may pause during the summer and resume again in August

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and assisting families with questions

• Greeting dancers and families in a warm, professional manner

• Supervising dancers between classes

• Monitoring and recording dancer attendance

• Communicating student absences to teachers

• Processing payments and enrollments

• Assisting with light cleaning and front-desk organization

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable and detail-oriented

• Experience in a dance studio or similar youth-focused environment is a plus

Evolve Dance Company started as a dream of Artistic Director, Jenny Vause, and became a reality in June of 2005. Since opening, Evolve continues to provide quality instruction to dancers in Rockford and the surrounding areas.

We are very proud of our teachers whose accomplishments include numerous choreography awards at competitions, choreography for children's theaters, professional back-up dancing, and work with local churches and school musicals.
