We are looking for an experienced Reconstruction Estimator & Project Manager to join our fast growing team! You will be making an impact each day by guiding customers through the reconstruction process — helping them understand their options, developing detailed estimates, and then owning the project from signed contract through final walkthrough to return their homes and properties to pre-loss condition.
You are someone with meaningful experience in reconstruction, remodeling, or restoration. You are familiar with building materials, residential construction, and the insurance claims process. You know how to read a scope of work and how to build one. You have managed subcontractors, coordinated permits, and navigated the complexities of a live project.
You have experience in home services sales and develop relationships with customers and partners easily. You are outgoing, neat, presentable, and bring outstanding communication skills to every interaction. You are able to commit to the hours and effort necessary to deliver exceptional outcomes.
You hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your work and its impact on customers and your team. You are a leader and coach to others and know you are only as successful as those you bring along with you.
Your Primary Responsibilities — Estimating & Sales:
Travel to customer properties to perform detailed onsite inspections and damage assessments
Review reports from home inspectors, industrial hygienists, mold assessors, and insurance adjusters
Develop onsite field quotes or detailed Xactimate reconstruction estimates and walk customers through the scope of work
Advise customers on how we can help them navigate the insurance claims process
Complete the sales process, work to overcome objections and get customers to yes (Target 65%+ average closing ratio)
Articulate various payment options including financing
Coordinate execution of contractual documents with front office staff
Regularly update CRM with notes from customer appointments
Perform customer follow-ups and sales pipeline management activities
Collaborate with EMS and mitigation teams to ensure seamless remediation-to-rebuild handoffs
Your Primary Responsibilities — Project Management:
Own the full lifecycle of assigned reconstruction projects from contract through completion
Obtain and manage all required building permits and coordinate inspections with local municipalities
Source, qualify, schedule, and manage subcontractors across all trades (framing, drywall, flooring, painting, roofing, etc.)
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; monitor progress and adjust as needed
Manage project budgets — track costs, identify variances, and protect margin
Serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout the reconstruction phase
Coordinate with mold remediation and water damage restoration teams for clear project handoffs
Conduct quality control walkthroughs at key milestones and at project completion
Prepare and deliver project status updates to customers and management
Document all project activity in CRM and project management systems
Other Core Responsibilities:
Participate in recurring leadership and production meetings
Support the development of estimation and project management processes and training materials
Coach and mentor Project Coordinators and junior estimators
Cultivate business development relationships (HOAs, Realtors, Insurance Companies, Public Adjusters, Mold Assessors)
Serve as a brand ambassador — you represent iMold on and off the clock
Deliver 5-star service to customers and actively pursue Google reviews
Your Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in reconstruction, remodeling, or restoration project management
Must have Xactimate experience writing Water, Mold, Fire, and Rebuild estimates
Experience obtaining building permits and managing the municipal inspection process
Strong working knowledge of subcontractor management across multiple trades
Experience with the insurance claims process and working with adjusters
Track record in home services sales with strong relationship-building skills
Excellent communication skills (We are a "communication company" that specializes in restoration!)
Working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Sarasota, and Manatee Counties
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no suspensions in 3 years or major violations in 5 years)
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, others) are a plus
Willingness to undergo background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record pull
High school diploma/GED
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and navigate tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics)
Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around construction materials and cleaning products/chemicals
Ability to travel locally in SWFL when necessary
