Reconstruction Project Manager (Working PM – High Performance)

SERVPRO Carmichael/Citrus Heights Roseville/E&W Modesto/Manteca is hiring a Reconstruction Project Manager who can own projects from start to finish, manage subs, protect margin, and step in physically when needed.

This is a field-driven role. You are responsible for execution—not just oversight.

What You’ll Own

Full lifecycle management of reconstruction projects (residential & light commercial)

Schedule control: Maintain ≥90% on-time project completion

Margin protection: Target ~40% GM (including all costs/fees)

Subcontractor management, scheduling, and quality control

Scope execution based on Xactimate estimates and approved supplements

Jobsite leadership—set expectations, enforce standards, keep production moving

Customer communication (homeowners, adjusters, PMs) with clear, direct updates

Change order management with ≤48-hour turnaround

Job documentation and file readiness for billing

What Sets You Apart

You’ve run reconstruction jobs end-to-end and know where projects fail

You can manage subs while maintaining control of schedule, quality, and budget

You understand how to protect margin while keeping jobs moving

You don’t wait on others—you solve problems and keep production advancing

You’re just as comfortable working with an adjuster as you are picking up tools when needed

You demonstrate strong client relations

Excellent communication skills (timely and clear)

Requirements

5+ years in reconstruction/restoration project management

Strong knowledge of residential construction (demo → finish) terminology

Experience with insurance-driven work and Xactimate scopes

Proven ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously

Valid driver’s license

10+ years in general construction knowledge across multiple trades

Physical / Field Expectations

Willing and able to perform hands-on work when needed

Comfortable in active jobsite environments (tight spaces, ladders, etc.)

Able to lift 50+ lbs

· Majority of the role is spent in the field—managing jobs on-site, coordinating subcontractors, performing quality inspections, and stepping in to handle scope gaps and keep production moving.
